Central Government Project Manager

Our Client is looking for a motivated consultant to providing consultancy advice, technical guidance, and project management services to a wide range of Central Government Public Sector organisations in the management of projects related to the Modernizing and e-Government agenda.

You've had an early career in the public sector working on ICT systems or operations management
Will have progressed through team leadership roles into project management of information systems which will have included projects aimed at meeting the modernising or e-Government targets
Advantageous if you've worked for Industry and Public Sector organisations.

Project Management / Change Management / Risk Management
Procurement / Sub-contract Management including Service Delivery - experience of PFI/PPP and outsourcing desirable
Systems Development
Although not necessarily "hands-on", will have a sound understanding of a variety of systems including commercially available products, including client-server based technologies, Internet/intranet, relational databases and data communications / LAN/WAN capabilities
You'll have sound appreciation of Information/Data Management, System Architecture and Security issues.

Educated to degree level, preferably in engineering or science subject
Additionally likely to be qualified in a recognized project management method, for example PRINCE2
Experience of business development or account management will be a bonus
Experience of GATEWAY review process would be beneficial.
