Defence Sector Project Manager

Our Client is looking for a motivated consultant, to provide consultancy advice and guidance, technical and project management services toa wide range of Defence procurement organisations, specifically in Information Systems.

You'll likely to have had an early career in the Defence Industry or the Armed Forces working on ICT systems or operations management
Will have progressed through team leadership roles into project management of information systems
Advantageous if you've worked for the Defence Procurement Agency organisations
Will have worked primarily on large scale information/communication / platform system projects at some stage during the procurement life cycle.

Project Management / Change Management / Risk Management
Procurement / Sub-contract Management including Service Delivery - experience of PFI/PPP would be useful but not a necessity
Although not necessarily "hands-on", will have a sound understanding of complex systems
You'll have sound appreciation of Information/Data Management, System Architecture and Security issues.

Educated to degree level, preferably in engineering or science subject
Additionally likely to be qualified in a recognised project management method, for example PRINCE2.
